Fate of Marvee
Sanche is a large hill in the center of Avalon that has a smaller city upon it. This city is upon the deepest metal resource known in Avalon and it is mainly a mining city. Many Elves work in the mines to collect metals to be used by the Eladrin to make weapons and tools with magic. Elves who are deemed unskilled with a bow and hunting are typically assigned to work in the mines. The elves are bitter about being selected by the Eladrin without having their opinion being known. The older elves accept it as how it is, but the younger generation is a cause for dissent and the Eladrin watch them closely.
The elves are paid well and have nicer homes than most of the hunting clans. Many who are sent to the mines eventually begin to appreciate their lives there. The standard of living is much higher in Sanche than the hunting villages that most elves inhabit. Mining is hard work but there are spells in the mines that help the elves recover from their fatigue. There are few Eladrin in Sanche, so the elves are allowed to take care of themselves for the most part. Some wish that they could visit their families in the other villages but that is rarely allowed.
Sanche has its own crews that move the metals to Seosong and Nageum. The metals are not normally sent to any of the other cities. Seosong has its own crew to transport the metal to the strongholds that might require it. Food and supplies are transported from Keunam by elves as well. These elves also live in similar comforts so the Eladrin have no problem with them interacting.
Sanche is built in a similar matter as all the other cities in Avalon. The trees are only bonded to iron here so that the other metals can be mined without any loss to the trees. This gives the trees a red hue that the inhabitants find especially beautiful. Due to only being made of iron, Sanche is one of the shorter cities in Avalon, though it is taller than Nageum. Water is collected for the nearby river, ganke, which all other rivers in Avalon flow into and then out to the sea.
